Fattoria Mani di Luna
Fattoria Mani di Luna is located in Torgiano, Umbria, Italy. It was founded in 2012 by three friends with Simone Lazzarin as the winery principal. The estate covers around 35 hectares including 7.5 hectares of vineyards, among which 3 hectares are old‑vine plots planted in 1970s‑1980s. The vineyard soils are mineral‑rich sandy ground over sandstone and calcareous marl, on terroir cultivated for wine since Etruscan times. The winery fully follows biodynamic principles, working according to lunar and celestial rhythms with extensive manual labour. It prioritises native Umbrian grape varieties such as Sangiovese, Grechetto and Trebbiano Toscano. Winemaking follows natural philosophy: all spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeast, unfiltered bottling and minimal sulphur addition. Cement vats, terracotta amphorae and oak barrels are used for ageing. The estate believes in terroir and natural cycles, crafting wines that genuinely reflect the energy of their land.
